The Awesome Fest will be celebrating Kevin Bacon and the movie “Footloose” outdoors at Eakins Oval (in front of the Art Museum) with the first ever (Kevin) Bacon Fest! Come to enjoy food trucks like Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Cherry Bomb Bus, Mac Mart and Chewy’s, not to mention pig roasts, many different kinds of bacon delicacies, and a slew of very special surprises!

Philadelphia Dance Day

 

Philadelphia Dance Day is a nonprofit festival featuring free workshops, live performances from some of the city’s best-known instructors, and a huge evening dance party. The goal is to unite the community in celebrating dance as a powerful platform for creative expression and physical activity. All dance enthusiasts, regardless of experience or even coordination, are invited to take part in the fun. Participants will tour studios around the city to sample free workshops during the afternoon and then come together in the evening for a Zumba party and open social dancing.

Eighth annual East Passyunk Car Show & Street Festival

 

The eighth annual Car Show & Street Festival showcases more than 140 antique, show, muscle and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles lined up between Broad and Dickinson streets. Enjoy live music and disc jockeys on every block, street vendors, performers, summertime eats and drinks, children’s activities, and the “Bang! Boom! CRAFT!” show at the Singing Fountain.
