The College of Engineering will celebrate the 10th National Engineers' Week Feb. 23-27 with a multitude of campus events.
While several events will be held to honor or create networking opportunities for engineering students, most will remain open to the entire student body.

"Engineering is a large presence at Drexel," CoE Director of Public Relations Suzie Froman said. "Whether you're in engineering or not, this is a good way to support your classmates."

As in past years, the Kamikaze Egg Drop, held Feb. 27, is expected to be the most popular event. Drexel engineering students will compete with high school students to see which team's egg can survive the fall from one of the balconies in the Main Building to the Great Court floor below.
The Kamikaze event is expected to attract over one hundred high school students and media attention.

"We're really bringing engineering to the floor," Froman said. "We're using this as an outreach program."

Other events include the Feb. 21 Mr. Drexel Pageant, a parody male beauty contest hosted by the Society of Women Engineers, and the Feb. 26 Engineering Society Expo, where student groups will come together to attract new members.

An Honors Day Ceremony and Alumni/Student Mixer, honoring the academic achievements of current students and faculty will take place Feb. 25. The ceremony will be followed by a reception allowing scholarship winners the opportunity to meet alumni donors.

The Feb. 18 men's basketball game, sponsored by the College of Engineering Alumni Association, was also an Engineers' Week event.
