SEPTA to cancel all weekend services

The South East Pennsylvania Transit Authority recently announced a drastic plan to deal with the current deficit, which will have a negative impact on commuters. Measures to combat cost could include the elimination of all weekend services, which would mean that people would have to find alternate methods of transportation every Saturday and Sunday.

Nobel Laureate speaks on state of national economy

The LeBow College of Business hosted 2001 Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz to speak on the state of the national economy under the Bush administration Oct. 12 in Patton Auditorium. Stiglitz, Professor of Economics and Finance at Columbia University, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for the analysis of markets with asymmetric information.

Music Industry students discuss careers

Six panelists came together for a two-hour discussion with Music Industry students Oct. 13. They talked about their careers, answered questions, gave advice and conveyed to the crowd what a day in the life of a music industry professional really is. Assistant Professor of Performing Arts, Barry Atticks, introduced the panelists to a full room of students in the Living Arts Lounge.
