Women's crew makes history at Dad Vail Regatta

The Drexel Women's crew team made University history by earning the program's first medal at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday, May 14. The Varsity 8 boat earned the bronze medal in a stunning photo finish over Purdue. They slid in behind UConn and Villanova, who finished first and second, respectively.

Football, baseball, and basketball are easily the big three sports in the States, and they were all created (essentially) by Americans. More importantly though, is the fact that other countries don't play these sports.

For a moment in time, the Wachovia Center clown that scared me so many times and I were one. He, with the clichéd water squirting flower and balloon pump, me with the Skechers that I would never admit to wearing, were united in this brief moment. We were brought together to dine in the sweet, oh-so-filling taste of victory.
