Athletic Director Eric Zillmer was one of many Drexel dignitaries in attendance. Zillmer thanked Buckley and his wife, Marlene, on behalf of the Athletic Department and presented him with a framed picture of the new, artificial-turf Buckley Field.

Jan. 3, 2008. The Drexel Dragons football team has made history once again. After winning its third straight Big East title in its first three seasons, the Dragons have become the fastest program to ever win the national title game, defeating the University of Miami 35-24 to win the Fiesta Bowl.
Let's do a little bit of analysis in an article I'd like to call "Winners and Losers." One in four players has changed teams since the 2003-2004 season, leaving a lot of questions about how the players will perform. I somehow feel that looking at statistics from over a year ago doesn't seem right when assessing how a player might perform.
