For the second straight year, lacrosse defenseman Adam Crystal was named to the 2007 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team. Crystal has accumulated a 3.71 grade-point average and is graduating in June with a degree in History-Politics.
"They put a lot of emphasis on academic facilities," Crystal said. "If you drop at all, our coaches stay on you. Freshman year, I had a bad term and they were all over me. Along with lacrosse, I got a good work ethic academically."
Crystal was named a First Team All-CAA selection and the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. He also led the Dragons to an 11-5 record and a share of the Colonial Athletic Association regular season title.
"If you practice early in the morning or really late at night, you get really tired," Crystal said. "If you put work off, you'll never be able to do it. You have to be able to avoid procrastinating. If you do your work, people lay off of you. That's one of my motivations, but this is something that is expected of you as a student."
