Crime and Policy Violations Feb. 21 to Mar. 6

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 21 and March 6.  All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

SEX OFFENSE (1)

Feb. 21, 2900 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported that she was sexually assaulted by a male student known to her.

THEFT (5)

March 3, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 3200 block of Baring Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a pole with a chain lock.

March 5, 4:01 a.m. 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown male entered his store and took a donation jar from the counter, fleeing in an unknown direction.

March 6, 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. 3300 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took his backpack that contained a laptop computer, which was left unattended in an unsecured area.

March 6, 8:30 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. 3300 block Market Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that on unknown person(s) took her wallet containing cash and credit cards that was left unattended in a common area.

March 6 to March 8, 3200 block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a railing with a chain lock.

POLICY VIOLATIONS (5)

During the period covered in this report, there were three (3) Policy Violations for alcohol and two (2) Policy Violations for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
