Crime and Policy Violations Report April 16 to April 25

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between April 16 and April 25. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

BURGLARY (2)

April 21, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 300 block of North 33rd Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered her apartment by forcing the front door open and stole cash from her dresser.

April 25 to April 26, 3175 John F. Kennedy Blvd.

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered his apartment through the unlocked front door and took his bicycle from his living room.

SEX OFFENSE (1)

April 16, 3400 block Race Street

A Drexel student was arrested after an investigation by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office found images depicting child pornography on the student’s computer.

THEFT (6)

April 10 to April 13, 100 block of North 32nd Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) made unauthorized transactions with his bank account.

April 21, 10:05 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. 200 block of North Broad Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took his cell phone and wallet from his jacket that was left in an examination room.

April 22, 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. 3000 block Market Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

April 24, 8 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. 3300 block of Market Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took a bag that contained food and personal items that was left unattended in a common area.

April 25, 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) made two unauthorized purchases using his Bank of China credit card.

April 25, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 2800 block of Queen Lane

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) entered her car with no sign of force and took her purse that was left in view.

VANDALISM (1)

April 26, 2:34 p.m. 3500 block of Powelton Avenue

Drexel Police arrested a Drexel student after he was observed vandalizing a car.

POLICY VIOLATIONS (4)

During the period covered in this report, there were three policy violations for alcohol and one policy violation for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
