Crime and Policy Violations Feb. 3 to Feb. 8

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 3 and Feb. 8. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ASSAULT (4)

Feb. 4, 4:05 p.m. 3400 block of Filbert Street

A Drexel student reported that he was involved in a dispute with three unknown males. During the incident, the males struck the complainant in the head and face causing minor injuries. The males fled west on Warren Street.

Feb. 6, 3200 block of Spring Garden Street

A Drexel student reported that she was assaulted by an unknown male while attending a party. The student suffered minor injuries.

Sept. 1, 2012 to Jun. 30, 2013, 200 block of North 34th Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that between September 2012 and June 2013 she was physically assaulted several times by a male Drexel student who is known to her.

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that between September 2012 and June 2013 she was sexually assaulted several times by a male Drexel student who is known to her.

ROBBERY (2)

Feb. 7, 1:59 a.m. 3600 block of Hamilton Street

A Drexel student reported that he was approached by three unknown males who struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object that he believed was a handgun. The assailants then proceeded to knock him to the ground and fled with his wallet and bike north on 36th Street. No injury was reported.

Feb. 8, 10:40 p.m. 3200 block of Baring Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that two unknown males struck him in the back of the head with a handgun and took cash and personal items from him. The males fled west on Baring Street. No injury was reported.

THEFT (5)

Feb. 3, 10:20 a.m. to 10:22 a.m. 200 block of North 32nd Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took his company truck that was left unattended with the engine running.

Feb. 3, 3:00 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took her wallet containing credit cards and an iPhone that was left unattended in a common area.

Feb. 3, 3:20 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took her wallet containing cash and ID that was left unattended in a common area.

Feb. 5, 1:10 p.m. 3500 block of Market Street

Two Drexel students reported that an unknown male entered their unoccupied unsecured classroom and took their wallets containing cash and credit cards.

Jan. 27 to Feb. 6, 400 block of North 32nd Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) forced the door to his vehicle and took cash that was left in plain view.

POLICY VIOLATIONS (4)

During the period covered in this report, there were three Policy Violations for alcohol and one Policy Violation for Drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
