Crime and Policy Violations Jan 13. to Jan. 25

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Jan. 13 and Jan. 25. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ASSAULT (2)

200 block of North Natrona Street

A Drexel student reported that between March and May 2014, she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, also a Drexel student, during a domestic dispute.

Jan. 13, 2:43 p.m. 3300 block of Market Street

Drexel Police arrested a non-Drexel affiliate after she assaulted a Drexel employee during a domestic dispute. The complainant suffered minor injuries.

BURGLARY (1)

Jan. 25, 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered her apartment through an unlocked door and took a laptop computer that was left in view.

THEFT (8)

Jan. 13, 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered her unlocked office and took her wallet containing cash and credit cards that was left in view.

Jan. 13, 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took her laptop computer that was left unattended on a table.

Jan. 13, 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown male entered the store, took three sweatshirts and fled from the store without paying for the items.

Jan. 13, 3400 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) accessed his debit card after he left his debit card unattended in the ATM.

Jan. 13 to Jan. 14, 3300 block of Market Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took her space heater that was left unattended on a shelf.

Jan. 20 to Jan. 21, 3175 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took her bicycle that was secured with a U-lock.

Jan. 20, 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. 3100 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered an unlocked room and took her wallet that was left in view.

Jan. 25, 3:30 p.m. and 4:28 p.m. 300 block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) broke the window to her car and took her purse that was left in plain view.

VANDALISM (2)

1501-00209 – 200 N. 36th St.

Jan. 15, 1:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. 200 block of North 36th Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on the wall of his building.

Jan. 25, 1:25 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. 3200 block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) broke a window to his residence.

DRUG AND POLICY VIOLATIONS (11)

During the period covered in this report, there were eight (8) policy violations for alcohol and three (3) policy violations for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
