Crime Report for Nov. 1 to Feb. 13

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Nov. 1 and Feb. 13. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or Drexel Public Safety incident reports.

SEX OFFENSE (1)

Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 200 block of N. Broad Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported being a victim of inappropriate contact with a male known to the complainant during a visit.

ASSAULT (2)

Jan. 27, 2900 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported having been assaulted by a female known to the complainant during a verbal dispute.

Jan. 29, 12:25 a.m. 200 block of N. Broad Street

A Drexel Staff member reported having been assaulted by a non-Drexel affiliate. There were no injuries reported.

THEFT (15)

Jan. 20 to 26, 300 block of N. 32rd Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) made unauthorized purchases using the complainant’s credit card.

Jan. 24 to 25, 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel staff member reported that unknown person(s) took musical equipment that was left in plain view in a studio.

Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 2 pa.m. 3100 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was locked to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Jan. 25 to Feb. 9, 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue

A Drexel employee reported that unknown person(s) removed a power washer and tools from an unsecured garage.

Jan. 27 to 28, 3200 block of Baring Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s wallet that was left unattended in an unlocked room.

Jan. 29 to 30, 3500 block of Market Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) removed a generator that was secured to the rear of the complainant’s truck with a chain.

Jan. 30 to 31, 3500 block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s automobile that was parked and locked on the highway.

Jan. 31 to Feb. 9, 3500 block of Race Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s automobile that was parked and secured.

Feb. 2 to 3, 400 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took an iIPod from the complainant’s vehicle with no sign of forced entry.

Feb. 2 to 3, 400 block of N. 33rd Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that a female known to the complainant took the complainant’s automobile without permission.

Feb. 2 to 11, 400 block of N. 35th Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s dump truck that was parked and secured.

Feb. 3, 100 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that sometime during the early morning of unknown person(s) removed the letter “E” from the front wall of the building.

Feb. 6, 7:30 to 9 p.m. 3700 block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was secured to a porch railing with a cable lock.

Feb. 8, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 2900 block of Queen Lane

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Feb. 13, 5:20 to 6 p.m. 3300 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s wallet containing cash that was left in an unsecured locker.

VANDALISM (3)

Jan. 21 to 22, 3200 block of Lancaster Walk

A Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) broke out a pane of glass from the front office door.

Jan. 30, 200 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that the windshield and fender of the complainant’s motorcycle was damaged in an unknown manner.

Feb. 3 to 4, 3200 block of Cuthbert Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that the passenger side mirror of the complainant’s vehicle was broken off in an unknown manner.

During the period covered between Nov. 1 and Feb. 13, Drexel Police arrested two (2) non-Drexel affiliates for DUI, one (1) non-Drexel affiliate for contempt of court and one (1) non-Drexel affiliate for disorderly conduct. During the period covered in this report there were six (6) policy violations for drugs and five (5) policy violations for alcohol. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
