Crime Report and Policy Violations Nov. 3 to Nov. 9

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Nov. 3 and Nov. 9. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ASSAULT (2)

Nov. 5, 2:54 p.m. 3200 block of Spring Garden Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that he was assaulted by a male known to him during a domestic incident. The complainant suffered minor injuries.

Nov. 8, 1:05 p.m. 100 block of North 33rd Street

A Drexel student reported that she was assaulted by an unknown female as she walked by her. The student suffered minor injuries.

BURGLARY (1)

Nov. 8, 2:45 p.m. 3400 block of Race Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that he heard the sound of breaking glass at his apartment window and observed an unknown male attempting to enter his apartment through the broken window. The unknown male then fled on foot.

ROBBERY (1)

Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m. 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that three unknown males stopped him on the street and robbed him at gunpoint. The males fled south on 34th Street in a taxi.

THEFT (6)

Nov. 3 to Nov. 4, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 100 block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) entered his room through an unlocked front door and took a gaming system that was left in view.

Nov. 4, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. 3400 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Nov. 5, 1400 block of Vine Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took her change purse that contained a small amount of cash that was left unattended on her desk.

Nov. 5, 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 200 block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took her clothing that was left unattended in a dryer.

Nov. 6, 10:10 a.m. 3300 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that he observed an unknown female enter his unsecured cubicle and remove cash from his wallet. The student confronted the offender, who returned his money.

Nov. 8 to Nov. 9, 3300 block of Race Street

A Drexel student reported that 14 different people took cash from his wallet that was left in plain view in a common area.

VANDALISM (2)

Nov. 4 to Nov. 5, 3000 block of Ludlow Street

A Drexel student reported that the driver-side window to his car was broken with an unknown tool.

Nov. 9, 5:30 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. 3300 block of Cherry Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that the sunroof to his car was damaged by an unknown person(s).

POLICY VIOLATIONS (10)      

During the period covered in this report there were nine (9) policy violations for alcohol and one (1) policy violation for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
