Aramark meets its mark
It’s no secret that dining halls suck — at least 95 percent of the time. Alas, the Drexel dining hall was no exception; eating at Urban Eatery or the Hans wasn’t usually something students look forward to, but a task done in an effort to use their thousands of dollars of meal swipes.

Meat-ing the needs of Drexel students
Although Aramark has attempted to accommodate students with various dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan, we do not believe they have enough options for those who do not eat meat to get a substantial amount of nutrition through their meal plans.

Mad Mex offers fun atmosphere, affordable food
As humans, we are wired to make judgments based off first impressions. There is no difference when it comes to walking into a restaurant. If the place is clean, decorated, dirty or old, customers take notice. Not only do they notice, but their opinion of the restaurant is already predetermined despite the fact that they have not even touched a menu yet.

It has a made-to-order noodle and sushi bar with a wide variety of meat and vegetarian options catering to the needs of Drexel’s diverse student population. Additionally, it provides quick and healthy grab-and-go food items for busy students and faculty alike. Market 16 has indoor and outdoor seating, providing its customers with an option to relax and enjoy a sushi roll or a hot cup of noodles.

What’s Happening in Philly
Over 25 bars and dining establishments on and around Drexel and Penn’s campuses will be taking part in the summer University City Dining Days, where select prix-fix menus are created by each restaurant to offer three courses for either $15, $25 or $30. These restaurants include old favorites like White Dog Café, World Café Live and Slainte Grill, along with more lavish options often restricted by students’ budgets, such as Penne Restaurant & Wine Bar, Distrito and Marigold Kitchen. And while UC Dining Days provide a great opportunity to get a taste of newer eateries, such as the Biba Wine Bar and JG Domestic, this two-week offer is also a great excuse to revisit college mainstays. Start making those reservations!
