Vanessa Carlton to “walk through each album” at WCL show

Since her platinum-selling debut album “Be Not Nobody,” released through major label A&M Records, she has switched to an indie label and released four studio albums.

Cam talks upcoming tour, overnight fame
After her debut single “Burning House” blew up in the country music world, singer-songwriter Cam has not slowed down. Upon completion of multiple tours with acts such as Dan and Shay and Dierks Bentley, Cam is heading out on her first US headlining tour. The Burning House tour comes through Philly to play the Trocadero Theatre Oct. 29. We had the opportunity to speak with Cam in advance of the show about her career, success and upcoming tour.

Local Natives to support LGBT organization at food drive
Punk Out is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization from Philadelphia dedicated to supporting LGBT musicians and fans through the power of music. The organization has teamed up with Local Natives to host a snack drive supporting the Attic Youth Center at the band’s upcoming show on Oct. 19 at the Electric Factory.

Rachael Yamagata talks new music, upcoming UT show
A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of conducting a phone interview with Virginian indie singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata. Yamagata is embarking on a world tour in support of her fourth major album “Tightrope Walker,” which will be released Sept. 23. Her debut album “Happenstance” in 2004 was a huge success, landing her songs several spots in TV shows and movies, and even establishing a cult following.

Gov Ball lineup set to start the summer strong
Thousands will flock to Randall’s Island in New York City June 3-5 for the Governors Ball Music Festival. The festival was launched in 2011 and it has grown into one of the premier music events in North America, right up there with the likes of Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The lineups of past Gov Balls have been stellar and this year is no different. With the Strokes, the Killers and Kanye West headlining this year’s festival, Gov Ball 2016 is the perfect way to kick off the summer.
