As moviegoers exit their showing of “A Minecraft Movie,” many will likely face immense disappointment at the realization that their Minecraft experience has come to an end. Fortunately for Minecraft fans, this is not necessarily the case. The well-known fast food company, McDonald’s, offers two ways for Minecraft fans to continue to express their interest. The first is with the limited-time A Minecraft Movie Meal, and the second is with the free Minecraft-themed toy that accompanies the purchase of every Happy Meal.
Those that purchase the meal can choose between either a Big Mac or a 10-piece McNuggets alongside their fries and drink. The meal also comes with a blind box containing one of six collectible figures. The options include a plastic Big Mac in the shape of a cube, a french fry box in the shape of a Minecraft helmet, a toy Minecraft potion, a “Zombie Hamburglar” figure, a “Birdie Wings” figure and a purple egg with a smiling face on it.
Fans will be delighted to see that the various packaging items of the meal come specially decorated with Minecraft iconography. The entire meal comes in a box resembling a block of gold from the game, the Big Mac and McNuggets box is decorated with crafting table symbols and an XP bar, the drink cup is decorated with the same pixelated bubble icons that can be found in the game and there are various other small details that Minecraft fans may enjoy discovering. It may be wise to order the McNuggets meal over the Big Mac, specifically for the purpose of having the chance to sample the limited-time Nether Flame Sauce, a tasty accompaniment to the nuggets that resembles a combination of sriracha and sweet chili sauce.
As for the Happy Meal option, apple slices and milk are regular parts of the meal, regardless of the Minecraft branding. However, for a limited time only, these items will come packaged with images of Minecraft bees and Creepers. Minecraft fans have also noted that the Happy Meal toys, which include figures of sheep, Creepers, Pillagers and more, make for much better collectible figures than the items which come with the adult meal. While A Minecraft Movie may only last a couple of hours, McDonald’s gives fans a fun—and entertaining—way to keep the adventure going after the credits roll.
