Many students were wondering what happened to Drexel’s annual Fall Fest concert this year. Little did they know Drexel’s own Dragon Concert Series group had something different in store to surprise students with: the first ever Winterfest concert.

After months of trying to find the best lineup for the students, just last week it was announced who would be playing the show in the Armory Jan. 27.

Drexel student artist Arno will be the opening act, along with popular deep-house DJ Valentino Khan and electronic dance music DJ Mija. Following these strong headliners is rapper Lil Uzi Vert.

The line up consists of a perfect mix of electronic, pop and rap music. Valentino Khan blew up after his deep house single “Deep Down Low” became a huge hit in the electronic music scene. Mija has a song with Lil Jon, and became popular after she performed with Skrillex. Lil Uzi became huge in the past couple years, being featured on multiple rap songs; the most recent popular one being “Bad and Boujee” by Migos. He had just as much success after releasing his debut album in 2015, “Love is Rage,” and has been killing the rap game since.

This exciting line up of popular high-energy artists is sure to lead to a lively show to say the least. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you should. Because tickets for students are free. Alumni can get discounted tickets for $15 while guest tickets cost $30 a piece. You can find tickets by going on the Facebook page for the Dragon Concert Series, the Winterfest event page or on dragon-concert-series.com.
