Crime Report from Feb. 10 to Feb. 24

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 10 and Feb. 24. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or Drexel Public Safety incident reports.

SEX OFFENSE (1)

Sept. 2016, 200 block of N. Broad Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported having been touched inappropriately by a male known to the complainant during an office visit.

ARSON (1)

Feb. 20, 7:28 p.m. 300 block of N. 15th Street

A Drexel staff member reported that unknown person(s) intentionally set fire to a bag of trash and clothing inside of an occupied Drexel building.

THEFT (10)

Feb. 10 to 14, 3500 block of Lancaster Avenue

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Feb. 14, 11:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 3300 block of Market Street

A Drexel staff member reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s laptop computer from a backpack that was left unattended.

Feb. 15 to 20, 3300 block of Arch Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took several paving bricks from the sidewalk of a corner property.

Feb. 18, 3600 block of Market Street

A Drexel staff member reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was secured to a bike rack.

Feb. 18 to 19, 100 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) removed several letters by force from the outside wall holding the words to the name of their building.

Feb. 20, 5:51 p.m. 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue

Drexel Police arrested a male after he was identified as one of two males who stole an iPhone from the AT&T Store.

Feb. 21, 5 to 7 p.m. 200 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took an Israeli flag and flagpole from the front of the complainant’s residence.

Feb. 21 to 23, 100 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bike that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Fe. 22, 11 a.m. to 3:50 p.m., 3100 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took the complainant’s bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a chain lock.

Feb. 24, 10:40 to 10:50 p.m. 200 block of N. 34th Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took her iPhone and iPad that were left unattended in an unsecured office.

DRUGS (1)

Feb. 16, 7:53 p.m. 3100 block of JFK Boulevard

Drexel Police arrested a non-Drexel affiliate after the male was found to be in possession of heroin.

During the period of Feb. 10 to Feb. 24, there were five (5) Policy Violations for Alcohol. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
