Drexel teams with InfraScan to study brain injuries
A Drexel team and InfraScanner, a local medical firm, have committed to a contract with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to work on a device that will evaluate brain injuries. The contract, to redesign InfraScanner, will be for a three-year project and for $3.7 million.

Study explores brain injury recovery
Joshua Jacobs, an assistant professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, will join a $22.5 million, four-year research project titled “Restoring Active Memory,” in which he will explore the use of brain stimulation to help recover memories and cognitive abilities of people who have suffered a traumatic brain injury.
